Welcome to the official Discord for Project Renaissance, a modding project focused on bringing the cut Elyseum District back into Dying Light 2.
🔧 Who We Are
We’re a team of developers who came together around one goal: giving Elyseum the treatment it deserves, and even further expanding upon it. Some of us are brand new to the scene, others have been here since the start, but we’re all here because we love Dying Light 2 and want to help expand its world.
🗺️ What’s Project Renaissance?
Project Renaissance is aiming to become a DLC sized mod that restores and builds on the Elyseum District, a part of Dying Light 2 that was cut during development sometime in 2020.
We're not just using datamined files, we're expanding on what was left behind, adding new quests, areas, characters, and gameplay that fit in naturally in the last city standing.
This means:
- New places to explore
- Original and new story content
- Updated or recreated assets from unused content
- A smooth, lore-rich experience that ties in to the base game
- Changed Gameplay elements, similar to Dying Light 2's 2018-19 versions
