Our team of game developers and researchers are using machine learning and other modern technologies to push the envelope of what is possible with open worlds in gaming. Our goal is to build deep, systemic playgrounds hundreds of kilometers wide and populated by thousands of players.

Founder Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene is widely regarded as the creator of the battle royale genre, originally developing the mode as a mod for the ARMA series of games before creating the industry-defining hit PlayerUnknown’s Battleground (PUBG), which has sold more than 75 million copies on PC and console and topped mobile charts in 150 countries. Since 2018, he has been working on how to apply those same core values of scale and player freedom to new types of gameplays and even larger worlds.
