About

Gymbreakers is a community-run, team-based Pokรฉmon GO competition. Our tournaments are called Gymbreakers World Cups, as they feature national teams representing countries, cities, regions, or other localities from all around the world.

Teams can choose to represent their entire country or a more specific location such as a city, region, or state. Each team must have a minimum of 8 players, with the option to include additional players as substitutes. Teams may rotate an unlimited number of players throughout the competition.

Each teamโ€™s roster is divided into 4 pairs (2 players per pair). These pairs face off against opposing teams in the same format. The highest average-rated pairs from each team face each other, competing not only for individual rating points but also to earn team rating points, which determine their standing on the team leaderboard.

The competition typically begins with a group stage, where teams are seeded into balanced groups based on their leaderboard ranking. This ensures fair matchups and determines which division playoffs teams will qualify for. Playoffs are split into various divisions, from top-tier to lower-tier, to reflect team performance and maintain competitive balance in the final elimination brackets.

Gymbreakers is open to all skill levels. The strongest teams advance to top divisions like Master, Diamond, and Platinum, while newer or less competitive teams may find themselves in divisions such as Rising Stars, Mud, Wood, or Rock.

The Gymbreakers format allows for up to 96 teams, unlocking all possible divisions. Each division can host up to 8 teams. The full list of divisions includes:

Master, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper, Iron, Rock, Wood, Mud, and Rising Stars.
