The official community for r/ADHDUK — a safe, supportive space for people navigating ADHD in the UK. Whether you're newly diagnosed, on the waiting list, or years into your journey, you'll find understanding here. Chat daily, share experiences, get advice on NHS vs private routes, and make friends!
If you've found your way here, you probably already know the score. Maybe you've been on an NHS waiting list for what feels like forever. Maybe you're newly diagnosed and trying to figure out what that actually means for your life. Maybe you've been managing this for years and just want somewhere to talk to people who genuinely get it. That's what this server is for.
We're the companion community to r/ADHDUK, one of the largest ADHD communities in the UK.
The subreddit is great for questions and advice, but Discord lets us actually talk, check in with each other, and build something that feels more like a community and less like a noticeboard.
Buuut, What to expect here:
Daily themed threads give the conversation some structure without making it feel rigid. We cover things like treatment and medication, work and careers, finances, and just general support.
You can chit-chat off-topic too.
There is always something relevant going on, whatever you're dealing with at the moment. We hope we can support you! :)
This is a UK-focused space. That means conversations here tend to revolve around things that actually apply to us: the NHS, Right to Choose, private diagnosis costs, UK workplace rights under the Equality Act, and the general experience of trying to get support in a system that wasn't really built with ADHD in mind.
We try to keep things kind. ADHD already comes with enough rejection sensitivity without your safe spaces adding to it. The mod team from the subreddit runs this server too, so the same values carry over and rules apply.
You don't need a diagnosis to join. You don't need to have it all figured out - you can be anywhere in your journey. Figuring out Right to Choose? That is fine. A friend has it? That is fine. You just need to be here in good faith, and have fun!
Come and say hello and introduce yourself :)
